Duties and areas of work

• acts on behalf of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemical Research and represents the institute’s interests in other organizations;

• concludes agreements with the relevant organizations in the interests of the institute;

• organizes the fulfilment of the institute’s tasks, provides overall management of its work and is personally responsible for the tasks assigned to the institute;

• defines the powers, duties and responsibilities of the institute’s staff;

• decides all matters of the institute’s financial and economic activities in accordance with the institute’s Charter and the rights and powers granted by the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan;

• issues orders and instructions binding on all staff and adopts other internal regulations;

• decides on rewards and disciplinary measures for staff, nominates outstanding staff for state awards of the Republic of Uzbekistan and for badges and certificates of honour of the Ministry of Agriculture, and grants other incentives;

• develops scientific and practical ties with foreign partners and organizes joint research projects.

Biography

Shuxrat Mexribonovich Bobomurodov was born in 1974 in the Qorakol district of the Bukhara region.

In 1997 he graduated with honours from the Faculty of Agrochemistry and Soil Science of Bukhara State University, qualifying in soil science and agrochemistry.

1992–1997: student at Bukhara State University.

1997: lecturer at the Department of Agrochemistry and Soil Science of Bukhara State University.

1997–2000: postgraduate student at the Research Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan; 2001–2005: researcher and senior researcher at the same institute.

2005–2012: head of department at the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Land Resources, Geodesy, Cartography and State Cadastre.

2013: head of the Analytical Control Inspectorate of the Tashkent Region Nature Protection Committee of the State Committee for Nature Protection of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

2013–2015: director of the educational institution “Oziq-ovqat sanoat ta’lim servis” of the Association of Food Industry Enterprises of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

2015–2016: chief engineer of the subsidiary “Tuproq bonitirovkasi” (Soil Valuation) of the State Committee for Land Resources, Geodesy, Cartography and State Cadastre;

2016–2020: chief specialist and head of department at the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Land Resources, Geodesy, Cartography and State Cadastre.

Since 2020: Director of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemical Research of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
